Update: Canine Influenza Virus

More reports have come in on the H3N2 Influenza Virus.
Three confirmed cases have been reported in the East Orlando area, and with them, additional details. The symptoms already listed are still accurate: frequent coughing, sneezing, and nasal discharge. Patients may have fevers above 103.5 F. Some patients are also experiencing diarrhea and vomiting in addition to the coughing. Please note, diarrhea and vomiting WITHOUT coughing is not influenza, but is still something that needs an exam.
Should you suspect your pet has this virus, please contact us immediately!
If you would like to vaccinate your pet, we offer the Canine Influenza vaccine.

Please be aware; we are not a quarantine facility and suspected cases must be seen outside.
